When to go
Trips run April through October, weather permitting; the lagoon isn't a summer-only thing, but the water is warmest and calmest June–September. Book at least a few days ahead in July–August, when the well-reviewed operators sell out; in the April–May and September–October shoulder season, walking up to the harbour on the day is often perfectly fine.

Should you just drive there instead?
